     The Awards and Recognition Night was an awards program initiated by Philippines-Australia Local Sustainability (PALS) Program that recognizes the remarkable efforts of individuals and organization. The awards apply only to municipalities that have PALS programs.

It’s a big honored of the awardees receiving the awards which are also recognition of their efforts to develop the life of the farmers.

Mr. Juanito R. Duhaylungsod was given the Leadership in Excellence Award for People’s Organization Leader among other 14 People’s Organization leaders of the entire Misamis Occidental based on his significant role in helping the Dapacan Alto Farmers Organization (DAFO) to be more progressive as an organization. Under his leadership, the Dapacan Alto Farmer’s Organization (DAFO) became the second awardees for Most Outstanding Organization of the entire Misamis Occidental.

     The second award-winning organization which is the Dapacan Alto Farmer’s Organization (DAFO) is truly inspiring in the way they contributed to the organization goals, monitor and give importance to the development of the PALS programs.

The most outstanding individuals and organization awards were evaluated based on site inspections and observations and one-on-one interviews with PALS Provincial Staff.  

Municipal Mayor Dr. Luisito B. Villanueva, Jr., MNSA attended the awards night to support his constituents for the achievements, achievements that also bring honor to the municipality.    

Municipal Mayors of the neighboring municipalities and Provincial officials graced the occasion as will as the personnel of PALS.  

Visitors and guests wore a formal dress that made the occasion more fabulous.

The distinguished awards recognized the individuals and organizations that contributed to the success of the implementation of the Philippines-Australia Local Sustainability (PALS) Programs. Winners were give cash prizes and plaques.

     To the winners congratulations for the achievements and for the honor you brought to the Municipality of Calamba.
