“Culmination Program and Coronation Ceremonies during the 28^th Araw ng Southwestern Poblacion”

The Culmination Program and the Search for the Mutya ng Sinulog 2010 of Southwestern Poblacion, Calamba, Misamis Occidental held last January 17, 2010 at 8 o’clock in the evening after the Sinulog Festival.

Barangay Southwestern Poblacion held the coronation as part of the 28^th Celebration of Araw ng Southwestern.

Every year it’s always a tradition that right after the Sinulog Festival is a search for Mutya ng Sinulog. Young and beautiful ladies presented to the audience. The activity was spearheaded by Barangay Captain Ezel T. Villanueva and the Barangay Council of Southwestern Poblacion.  

Municipal Mayor Dr. Luisito B. Villanueva, Jr., MNSA, Municipal Vice Mayor Jesus C. Enerio and SB Members Hon. Joelito G. Intong, Hon. Julieto S. Awa, Hon. Moises D. Leonardo, Hon.Zenaida C. Medija and Hon. Judelyn E. Bolotaulo graced the occasion. Municipal Mayor of Panaon, Misamis Occidental Hon. Rosanne Marie Paylaga was the guest of honor.

Compare to last year, more people attended the search despite of the weather condition. People were so excited especially the parents of the candidates who will be the next Mutya ng Sinulog. The celebration marked with dance presentations.   

People were also excited of the raffle draws for the groceries and 500 pesos each. Young and young at hearts waited the free disco after the coronation ceremony.
