“LGU OF CALAMBA, MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL MUNICIPAL OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES GOES TO SUNRISE PARADISE FOR THE LGU CHRISTMAS PARTY”
The Local Government Unit of Calamba, Misamis Occidental Employees together with the Municipal Officials spearheaded by Municipal Mayor Dr. Luisito B. Villanueva, Jr. MNSA went to Sunrise Paradise, Baliangao, Misamis Occidental last December 21, 2011 for the LGU-Christmas Party.
The day before the Christmas Party the Barangay Officials, Municipal Officials and Employees as well as the National Employees sponsored the 5th day of Misa de Gallo or Dawn Mass. It was a yearly activity where in all the Roman Catholics Officials and Employees are expected to attend the mass. During the sponsored mass the officials and employees voluntarily offered a certain amount of money (through buying Christmas balls) for the on-going construction of the New San Isidro Labrador Church.

The Christmas Party is one of the most celebrated occasions for the employees. The event is the way of making the employees together with their families happy. It was a get together event for the whole Local Government Unit after months of hard office works.
It was the first time the party was held outside the Municipal Hall.  The Christmas Party showcased the different talents of the Municipal Officials, National and Municipal employees. The preparation of foods, drinks and presentations is by department. There is exchange of gifts and parlor games.
The people really enjoyed the Hawaiian dance presentation of the employees from the Office of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development and Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR). Their sexy swimming attire for their Hawaiian dance adds excitement to the viewers.
The kids enjoyed swimming the beach because of the good weather.
The celebration is a once in lifetime experience and event to remember for the collection of talents of singing and dancing from the employees and Municipal Officials.
